Like any disciplined sailor, Danielle Lea rises at the crack of dawn on game day, dresses and gets ready for duty.
She expertly navigates her way to The Dome via a morning of tailgating, photos and an all-around great time.
Since 2014, Lea’s been costuming as Sailor Saint, rallying fans and taking part in Super Fan events throughout the year. The costume choice reflects Lea’s desire to join the Navy when she was growing up. She never got the
chance, but through Sailor Saint, she’s living out a little part of her dream while celebrating the team she loves.
On game day, you’ll find her stylishly outfitted in a black and gold rendition of the traditional sailor suit,
complete with Saints patches and gold piping around the sleeves. She tends to change up her outfit a bit,
sometimes sporting a black and gold polka-dot skirt, or maybe the Navy trousers with shiny gold buttons. Who
Dat landlubbers love her look, and she’s always happy to oblige them with a photo and a smile.
In her civilian life, this sailor’s a busy mom of four who still makes time to attend Super Fan charity events benefitting other kids whenever she can.
